Archivio Piero Dorazio is pleased to announce the exhibition “Dove la luce”, the story of an extraordinary affinity, which brought together two great masters of twentieth century Italian art: Giacomo Balla (1871-1958) and Piero Dorazio (1927-2005).
The exhibition features 47 masterpieces created around two specific dates: 1912, the year in which Balla’s Compenetrazioni iridescenti were conceived, and 1960, the year Dorazio developed his signature mark Trame or Reticoli.
Along with the exhibition, a comprehensive illustrated catalog is published by Mousse Milano, with texts by Gabriella Belli, Francesco Tedeschi, and Riccardo Passoni. The volume concludes with critical apparatuses by Giulia Arganini and Valentina Sonzogni. An interview with Mario Botta will examines the exhibition’s display criteria.
